Well, the repairs have started . .

But it is taking more time than I thought because it takes so long for things to come from the US to Canada.

Even though what I need was purchased at a town about 2 hrs away, it is first sent from there down South to California then back up North to Canada.

I purchased the elastic string and the composition repair on the 12th of January, as of today, it still has not arrived here.  Hopefully this week.

But in the mean time, I have take her apart to start to clean and then I will have to fill in the damaged parts as well as touch up the paint in spots.

I don't want to totally repaint her because I still want the old feel, but there are spots that really need it as these photos will show.

as you can see, there are several broken spots as well as an additional crack on her bum.  This will be a little harder to repair as at some point in her life (well over 60 years now) someone glued pieces of tape onto her to try and fix it, but it is now a mess, so I am slowly removing the tape.

As you can also see, the heal needs to be totally replaced.  I have ordered a compound that you can mold to the shape and replace that way.

Once this is all done, including filling in the cracks on her head, the painting will begin.   Hopefully within the next 2 weeks.

In the mean time, I am looking for a pattern for a new outfit for her.
